HOW DOES FAITH WORSHIP?
Faith is a community of people who gather for many reasons to worship God, study, and serve the world.
SUNDAY WORSHIP
Sundays, 10:00 a.m. Worship with music (mostly organ, sometimes piano or brass), singing, and Holy Communion (also called the Lord's Supper or Eucharist). The pastor, or minister, preaches, and we all pray for special concerns and celebrations.
During the service children and adults worship together. Sometimes this makes things a little noisy, but not too noisy for people to sing and pray.
There is a nursery program for young children.
After worship, people stay for cookies and conversation.

WHAT DO PEOPLE SAY ABOUT FAITH?
“The atmosphere at Faith is nurturing to my spirit. Members care. I hear sermons that are inspiring and relate scripture readings to modern life.”
“I feel the presence of God at Faith.”
“I can seek the answers to difficult questions through thoughtful conversations, through learning about the scriptures, and through worship.”
“Faith people are like family in many ways. I did not choose them; I have to put up with them. But in the same way, they have to put up with me.”
“Our pastor is an authentic seeker who offers judgment, but is not judgmental; who confronts problems and conflict as opportunities to grow in understanding; who finds joy in life and God's world.”
WHAT DO PEOPLE AT FAITH BELIEVE?
People come to Faith from different backgrounds and their beliefs vary. Ask them. Faith is a Protestant Christian church. The church professes that Jesus was God made person, completely human and divine at the same time (Lutherans tend to have a particularly earthy view of Jesus). We also say that God loves us no matter what, that we don't have do anything to deserve that love.
The word faith means trust as much as it does belief. We try to trust in God (sometimes it's hard to do). When we do, we can be free, be at peace, and feel whole.
